What's been going on here?  Well...

We've been enjoying the dinosaur cookie cutters that Aunt Missy gave Will for his birthday, along with the edible ink markers.  Here's a sample of Will's handiwork:

John's attempts:

Will did this one all by himself:

Two weeks ago, we finally found a theater playing The Tree of Life, so Miss Leah came over to watch the kids while John and I drove to Orlando to see Finn's film debut.

Finn did a fantastic job--he even had a little speaking part and threw a convincing tantrum.  I resisted the urge to point out to the rest of the theater audience that I was related to him.  Click HERE and HERE to see still pics--gorgeous.

I thought the movie was beautiful and uplifting, although I read quite a few reviews before going and knew what to expect.  I suppose that hampered my ability to come up with my own opinions while watching it, but it did help me to enjoy it.  I also understood why the average movie-goer (thinking he was just seeing the new Brad Pitt movie) might be upset and demand his money back.

We went back to Orlando the very next day, this time with kids in tow.  We discovered that our membership to our local museum also gave us free admission to the Orlando Science Center, so we went for a visit:

Will being silly (that's a drawing of Wall-E that John did--he carried it around for days):

Ick!  At least they're just baby alligators:

Will never tires of looking at snakes:

Will and I tried out the hurricane simulator, with winds over 75 mph.  I love this photo of Will's face:

A cobra snake!

Finally, Will and Anna went to the dentist last Tuesday.  Will looooooves the dentist, because we go to some fantastic pediatric dentists that do magic tricks after the checkup.  After each visit, Will practices doing his own magic tricks at home--these usually involve him showing me something, telling me to "look away for five minutes," hiding the item, then having me look back to discover that it has magically "dis-cappeared!"  This time, he asked me if he could go to the dentist every week "because it's so much fun!"

It's a good thing Will enjoys it, because he was on his own at this visit while I took care of Anna. This was her first trip and she was nervous about everything.  She finally sat in my lap while I sat in the chair; she eventually opened her mouth for the dentist, but snapped it shut as soon as he turned on the bright light.  On the positive side, she did let them brush her teeth.

Here they are--showing off some sparkly teeth and their "report cards".

They both got "A's" although I think our dentist gave Anna an A out of kindness--he didn't have much of a chance to see if she has any plaque or not.  Hopefully Will's enthusiasm will encourage her to cooperate the next time!

Anna probably got an A for that pretty smile. As Dr. Atkins would say, hot dog, those are some beautiful teeth!

Who is that big girl sitting by Will? A neighbor friend? It can not be my baby Anna.
