Three Months Old

"Whoa, I'm how old?!?"

"Are you for real?"

"That's a little depressing."

"On the upside, I am getting a little closer to being able to maneuver my own hand to my mouth."

"In the meantime, can you give me a little help here?"

"Oooh, thank you sooo much."

"Nothing like a chubby wrist to suck on. Pure bliss."

Miss Anna Blythe is 3 months old today. To celebrate, we went to the Flagler Beach farmer's market and then to lunch at Panda Express. I've been craving some Chinese food, and John is loathe to try any non-chain Chinese restaurants due to an unfortunate meal at Szechuan Panda in G-ville that led to a night of vomiting and diarrhea. But he was game to eat at the Panda Express, so off we went.

Here's Anna, wishing she was old enough for a little Beijing Beef and Peppers:

Will was a little iffy about the stir-fried veggies, but he was a big fan of the fortune cookies:

And some official birthday photos:

Anna at 3 months old:

  • Is sleeping from about 8-9 pm until 6-7 am straight (woohoo). However, she is still swaddled and using a paci, so I guess we're cheating a bit.
  • Is all over the map with her naps during the day--some days she sleeps the day away, other days she just takes short catnaps throughout the day.
  • Enjoys her swing and her crib mobile.
  • Can lift her head and a little of her chest up during tummy time.
  • Loves to suck on her fingers and wrist.
  • Loves being carried in the wrap.
  • Is cooing and "talking" a lot, and will occasionally laugh.
  • Is fitiing well into 3-6 month clothing. (Well, except for the pants in this picture. They are supposed to be capris, but she's got her mama's short legs so they go almost to her ankles. I feel your pain, Anna-girl--one day I'll introduce you to Ann Taylor Loft petite sizes!)

I don't have any official stats, but we may have to sneak into the office this weekend so I can see how much she weighs. :-)
