Will was excited the minute we drove up and he spotted the bounce houses. He loves a good bounce house, and I love trying to snap photos of his facial expressions:
Anna waited patiently in the stroller while Will bounced:
Saying one of her favorite words, "shoe" (emphasis on "ooo").
See that new bottom tooth coming in? (That's food on her chin, not some new freckles!)
Another favorite word, "nose."
"Teeth!"
Eventually, Anna did fuss to get out of the stroller. When she gained some freedom, we found out that another member of the family also loves bounce houses:
We went for a quick hayride:
After the hayride, we headed to the pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin and take some pictures. I quickly realized we should have done that first, because the kids were hot and exhausted and in no mood for picture-taking. I was really wishing for a helping hand at that point--it's hard to take pictures while simultaneously yelling at both kids, "Look at me! Over here!" and "Please don't knock your sister off the hay bale!"
I have a ton of photos on my camera that look like this:
Maybe by next year, they'll be able to sit nicely next to each other and smile for the camera? I hope so!
Happy Trick-or-Treating!!
PS...I wish I had a sign-off as cool as this artwork by Heather Ross, it made me giggle.
