I love that wide-based toddler gait, so cute. She's advanced to walking about 75% of the time now, and she's very fast. She also is getting to the stage where she hates to be carried and would rather be down on the ground walking. I'd forgotten what it was like to carry a squirming toddler!
We went to Epcot last week, the day before John started chemotherapy. We go to Disney a lot, but it really is the easiest place to go when you have two small children. Plus, for Florida people, they have a 4-day FL resident pass for $99 right now, which is fantastic. We purchased the pass on our visit in February, and had 2 days left on it, so used one last week and plan to go one more time before it expires at the end of the month.
Anyway, we chose Epcot because I love going to the Flower and Garden Festival. I think we've been almost every year since 2006 (except for Spring 2008), and two of those times I was hugely pregnant (I can still remember how swollen my legs were by the end of those days).
I tried to bribe Will into posing with me for a picture--somewhat successfully:
Will loved the Captain Hook topiary:
Lots of pictures of Anna in her cute Minnie dress from Aunt Laurie:
John and Will on the playground:
John and Will had fun playing this video game...
...until Anna decided she wanted to play, too:
Learning all about fire safety:
(I have to mention that a fireman came to visit Will's class last week, and for several nights after that Will was very concerned that a fireman might come into his room and get him during the night. I tried to assure him that the firemen would only come if there was a fire and we called them, and that they do not randomly pluck children from non-burning homes.)
On a totally unrelated note, Will and I have planted some herbs, tomatoes, and flowers in containers on our porch and, shockingly, they are all still alive. I can only credit Will, because I have a decidedly brown thumb. I will probably do a separate post with pictures of our "crops" (soon, before they die--I am such a pessimist when it comes to plants), but I have to show you what we found on our tomato plant:
Yes! A tomato! I am so worried some animal will eat it before it ripens (maybe that snake that likes to hide in our shrubbery), but we are checking it daily so we can grab it ASAP. I'll let you know how that turns out. :-)
