We didn't get one of these for Will, because I'm sure he spent plenty of time in one at daycare, plus it doesn't particularly do anything to encourage motor development, and maybe discourages it in large doses. However, I need something to keep Anna up off the floor so Will won't pounce on her, and I thought this would fit the bill.
We assembled it Sunday afternoon (including 12 AAA batteries! they are clearly in cahoots with Energizer) and let Anna try it out:
She didn't love it. She smiled at me for the pictures, but seemed a little overwhelmed by all the lights and sounds. She played with a few toys, then fussed to be picked up.

(Update: After a few more tries, Anna is now a big fan, and will happily chew on the toys and shriek at herself in the mirror. So I count it as money well spent.)
