Holidays Part I

We enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving twice--on the actual day with Cindy, Shawn, Grandma, Foxy and Pepper. I've definitely got to get back into my obsessive picture-taking habits before the next baby--the only picture I took Thanksgiving day was of one of the desserts. The hummingbird cake is my standby for parties, thanks to Mama, but the fun part is the sugared cranberries. Looks even better if you add mint leaves to look like holly. Here's the recipe for making the cranberries; I could eat them as a snack.

We headed up north to Tallahassee on Saturday for lunch with the Paulk side of the family; afterwards, John, Laurie, and I enjoyed the soggy UF-FSU game (John and I enjoyed it a little more than Laurie did--go Gators!!). Here are some pictures from Saturday, borrowed from Nana:

I'll close this post with a little segueway into the next holiday season. I've been playing Christmas music for a few weeks now (I just love it so much, I have to start a little early!), long enough for Will to become familiar with it. Now, what do you suppose is his favorite holiday song? Jingle Bells? Nope. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer? Wrong, again. Here he is, dancing to his favorite seasonal ditty, courtesy of the Barenaked Ladies:
