We paid a visit to Santa while we were at the Gaylord Palms a few weeks ago. Both kids were eager to see him:
Anna thinking about what she wants:
Will asked him for a hermit crab. Santa raised his eyebrows and looked at me. I nodded it was okay, so he said the same to Will. I appreciated that he checked first, though--I'm guessing he learned somewhere along the way not to promise any live animals without parental approval.
Anna eventually remembered that she wanted a Doc McStuffins desk:
We ran into one of Will's friends while waiting in line. Will asked him what he wanted, and he said "I want ALL the Star Wars Legos." Will told him that he wanted a hermit crab, and his friend's parents gave us a look of pity. Which I'm not sure was warranted--I mean, there are a LOT of Legos Star Wars sets. Expensive ones. But trust Will to pick out something that is not readily available at Toys R Us.
When we were leaving, Will told me that he knew that wasn't the real Santa. I asked him why he thought that, and he said, "Because I wrote him that letter about how I wanted to be an elf, but this Santa didn't know my name. I'm sure the real Santa would remember my letter and remember my name." So we decided this was not in fact the real Santa, just a helper. :-)
And here are a few Santa pics from previous years....

2010...there's no 2010 picture! What on earth were we doing that kept us from getting a Santa pic?? Very upset with my 2010 self at the moment. But here's what the kids looked like that December:
