A few things making my Christmas merrier:
1. The Greatest Gift by Ann Voskamp: My Advent devotion this year. Enjoying it very much.
2. Mrs. Meyers Iowa Pine: Love the countertop spray and soap--they make cleaning fun. Almost.
3. JR Watkins White Pine liquid soap: The manly version of a Christmas soap. I put this one at John's sink. The glass bottle is so cool, I'm going to have to reuse it.
4. The Story of Christmas Advent Calendar: We are using this one again this year, after doing Truth in the Tinsel last year (Truth is fantastic, but time-consuming; might do it again next year). The calendar does take some liberties with the story of Jesus' birth, adding in more detail than is found in the gospels, but the storybook style is great for little kids.
5. Traditional Holiday Blend: Best coffee ever.
6. The First Christmas Night: The story of Jesus' birth, told in rhyming "Twas the night before Christmas" style.
7. Hershey's Cherry Cordial Kisses. Yum!
8. New Christmas music downloads: I still can't get through the season without the Oak Ridge Boys and Kenny and Dolly, but I'm also loving some newer Christmas songs.
Go Tell it on the Mountain by All Things New. This one is getting tons of play on the Orlando Christian station, maybe because they are local to Volusia County. :-)
Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus by Daniel Renstrom
Born Is the King by Hillsong
Any or all of the above are preferable to listening to Will sing "Jingle Bells, Batman smells," over and over and over and over again.
9. Angels We Have Heard on High by The Piano Guys: One of my favorite versions of maybe my most favorite Christmas carol ever. I've watched this video so many times...in fact, I think I'm going to watch it again right now. If you haven't already seen it on facebook, go watch it!
