I won't go into too much detail about their day because Will does a lovely recap in the video below. They went on an airboat ride along the St. Johns River, ate fried alligator tail, and went to see "Toy Story 3." (Will's second time seeing the movie, since he'd already seen it with me. John enjoyed it a lot, though, and Will doesn't mind seeing the same movie over and over again, judging from the 50 times he's watched Ice Age 3.)
John took the camera but was too busy supervising Will to take very many pictures. Here they are on the airboat:
(On the topic of child supervision, I should mention that Will decided to flip a few boat control switches right after this picture. Luckily he didn't cause the boat to take off, nor did he scare the guide enough to make him decide he didn't want to give a rambunctious 4-year-old a river tour. Apparently their guide had a few grandsons and wasn't easily scared off.)
Afterwards, Will tried a little fried alligator tail:
And here is Will's version of the day (pardon the graininess, this was taped at about 5:30 am the next day when he woke up and decided to come tell me--during my AM quiet time--how much fun he'd had):
(Oh..and one more disclaimer...I have NO idea where that story about the alligator came from. I'm pretty sure Will has not done any solo gator-wrangling, at the old house or elsewhere. He did get to hold an alligator after this video was made, but you'll hear all about that in another post!)
