Anna's Birthday Part 1

I know nothing good can come from comparing children, but I can't keep myself from posting this video of Will enjoying a brownie on his first birthday:

Did you appreciate how quietly and neatly he ate it?  I'm not sure he even finished it.

Fast forward almost 3 years to this past Saturday--Anna's first birthday.  I decided to make brownies so that we could have a little celebration on the actual day (her party with the rest of the family is tomorrow).  Let's just say that the girl knows how to enjoy some chocolate:

It gets worse--she inhaled her brownie...

...then she spied Will's half-eaten brownie (apparently he still can't finish one).  You can probably guess what happened next:

Lots of crumbs...nary a speck of remorse!

In an effort to steer her toward some girly toys, I bought her a baby doll similar to the one she totes around at the gym.  She seemed confused about how to use the baby bottles (tried to drink them herself!), but she hugged and kissed the doll and even has started calling it "Baby," so I consider it a successful purchase. :-)

Will's gift to her was not quite as big a hit.  I took him shopping and let him pick out a gift for her--can you guess what he bought?
