We usually break out the wedding flutes to toast anniversaries and occasionally for other exciting events--and we had a fantastic reason to use them last week. John's pathology report (from surgery) showed NO remaining tumor cells, which means the tumor responded to the chemo and radiation he received before surgery. He still has to have chemo again (his treatment course is based on his initial staging), but the survival rate of patients who have a "pathologic complete response" is very good. That is a huge answer to prayer--and something to celebrate. So praise God!!! (And "Cheers!")

Somehow missed this post. So happy to hear this and it is such an answer to prayer! Will continue to pray for all of you as he starts and finishes up the second round of chemo!!
