I've had the luxury of picking Will's Halloween costume for the past 3 years, but this year he had opinions of his own. I sat him in my lap as we scrolled through some online costume sites, and he quickly decided that he wanted to dress up as Spiderman. This posed a little problem for me, because I had hoped to dress Will and Anna in coordinating costumes. Since I didn't want to dress Anna up as a Spiderman villain (and Will nixed dressing her up as a spider--he was less enthused about matching with her), I just reused Will's Nemo costume from 3 years ago.
Spiderman in the flesh (don't you love his muscles?):

Here's Anna as a cute little clownfish:

All ready to trick-or-treat:

We only made it to a few houses around the neighborhood. Once Will had collected a few pieces of candy, he was ready to go home and eat them immediately. Anna, of course, wasn't crazy about being up past her bedtime in a stiflingly hot costume.

I can see I'm going to need to come up with some bribery for the next few Halloweens if I want to see my munchkins coordinated. Any ideas for next year? Superman and Superwoman? Donald and Daisy? :-)

Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Dr Suess! That is what I should have done this year before they really start expressing an opinion but maybe next year I can convince them. I had a police man and a clown....no coordination there either:)
