Seven Months Old

Did another month just whiz by? Apparently so, because Miss Anna Blythe is now a whopping seven months old!


The picture sessions are getting more difficult each month--now that she is mobile, she has zero interest in smiling at me for pictures.

Anna at 7 months old:

• Is sleeping from 7 pm until about 5 am, with a 2 hour nap in the morning and a few short catnaps in the afternoon. Yayyyyyy!!!!
• Is still squealing. Not much in the way of consonant sounds just yet.
• Is on the move! She can do a half-scoot/half-crawl maneuver to get around. She is generally slow unless she spies some contraband (a shoe or crayon), then she scoots along quite quickly.
• Loves to play with Will's stuff, especially while he's playing with it. She will holler at him if he takes it away, and he pitches a fit when she destroys something he was building. I'm settling sibling fights about 6 months earlier than I had anticipated.
• Is eating a fruit with cereal in the morning and a veggie (and sometimes fruit) in the evening, plus nursing. So far, she has eaten apples, pears, bananas, peas, carrots, and sweet potatoes, and has enjoyed them all.
• Also enjoys eating the occasional crayon and--worst of all--shoes! She will gravitate toward a shoe and chew on it, blechh. Nichole has to leave her shoes by the door because Anna has tried to chew on them while they were on her feet. I shudder to think about the bacteria she has consumed, but apparently she has a robust little immune system.
• Is solidly in 6-9 month clothes, and wears size 3 disposables when we use them. I'm still clinging to the cloth diapers, but the poops are definitely getting stinkier!
  

I can't believe we're closer to her first birthday than we are to her birth! I remember going to the FL-GA game last year with her in my tummy--and now she's crawling. Sigh. :-)
