Sleeping like a baby

Today marks 8 days in a row that Anna has slept through the night. Words cannot express how thrilled I am by that--I thought Will did well by sleeping through the night at 6 months old, I never expected Anna to start doing that at 9 weeks old. I hestitate to celebrate too quickly, because I'm sure we'll have some setbacks when we break the swaddling habit...and when she starts rolling over...and when she starts teething. But for now, I'm getting some great sleep.

Here she is waking up after her first night in her crib (we moved her out of the bassinet this week):

She is a cheerful girl in the AM, I think she gets that from me. The menfolk around here tend to wake up a little grumpy.

Will is still having some sleeping issues. He wakes up a few times during the night and asks for us (well, usually John, poor guy) to come tuck him back in. And he occasionally comes and sleeps on the floor of our room from about 5 am on. I'm not sure how to break that habit, and I'm afraid it may get worse with the switch to the new house.

But isn't he so darn cute all curled up in his bed (for the duration that he's in it!)? Nothing sweeter than a little boy clutching his toys, sound asleep:

Nana thinks his pillow is up too high. :) He is going to have neck issues when he gets old like Nana. He does look very angelic though.
You used to wake up happy in the am like Anna, you usually had a really "nice" diaper waiting for me.

I agree, I think his pillows are too high. He only needs one. I fix it a little more flat when I put him to bed.
