Grandmama, Granddaddy, Uncle Tim, Aunt Cynthia, and Laurie all came for cake and homemade ice cream. Grandmama and Granddaddy took turns spoiling Anna:
Will was so excited to see Grandmama and Granddaddy, and was quick to get "Miss Granddaddy" to play Legos with him:
The trip to Blountstown was not too bad--Will wanted reassurrance every 2 miles that we were actually going to see Nana and Papa, but Anna slept the whole way. We made 2 nursing stops, and the whole trip took about 7 hours. On the way back, we only stopped once, in Gainesville, where I realized that Will had flooded his pullup and his shorts were soaked. So I had the fun of trying to change his outfit while squatting in an icky public bathroom with Anna in the Baby Bjorn. It was a major test of my balance and patience (turns out I have very little of either). But we made it home eventually--more hijinks by Will ensued then, but I haven't yet regained enough sense of humor to post about those. "Later, though," as Will would say.
But this morning is blissfully quiet--Will is at school, I'm on my second cup of coffee, and Anna is awake and content. Also, the flood of rains drove one of the wild turkeys into our back yard, and look who she brought with her:
