Now it's official--Anna's one month old! And she's a total chub...today she weighs 10 pounds 11 ounces! (That's a weight gain of 2.75 pounds in 2.5 weeks--that's some supercharged breastmilk, I might need to lay off the chocolate!)
Here she is getting weighed:

Here's poor sick big brother:

And a few pictures of her in a cute dress that one of our nurses gave her:

I'm borrowing an idea from a few other blogs I follow, and making a list of Anna's favorite (and not so favorite) things at this point in time. I'll try to keep it up at each month, but no promises (Will's baby book is only updated through about 5 months old, so my track record is not good).
Anna, at 1 month old...
1. You love to be held, especially snuggled up against my chest or Daddy's chest.
2. You tolerate the bouncy seat, but are not too thrilled with the swing yet. (Will tries to entertain you with it, though, and is always playing with the buttons while you're in it.)
3. You are easily soothed through most of the day, but you do have a fussy period from 6 pm to about 9-10 pm--at that point, you want to eat every hour and be held the rest of the time. Forget trying the swing or bouncy then!
4. You wake about twice between 10 pm and 6 am to eat, but the last week you've only been waking once at about 2:30 am (Mama is a big fan of this!).
5. You have been giving a true "social smile" for the past few days--not a lot, but just enough to make me try to get you to smile more!
I also wanted to add in a picture of Will at close to this age--I looked back to see what he weighed at his checkup and found a picture of him at 7 weeks old (weighing 10 pounds 0.5 ounces--definitely losing out to little sister in the weight department). But don't you think he looks a little like Anna in this picture?

That first picture of Anna in the flowered dresspointing to her mouth looks like she is trying to tell you she has strep throat too. I hope she is wrong.
