A race and a (baby) shower

Last weekend we went to Orlando--John, Cindy, and Shawn ran a 5K at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Will and I went along as their cheerleading squad (not that they needed us--they had both the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders and the Harlem Globetrotters at the finish line, so Will and I had a hard time competing with that level of talent).

Here they are before the race:

And here are Cindy and Shawn crossing the finish line (I couldn't get a shot of John because I was holding Will up so he could see Daddy finish):

Will didn't do much running, but that didn't stop him from begging for some of the post-race snacks:

I, of course, do not run, I walk (well, this late in the pregnancy, I mostly waddle)--and supposedly this race required you to make a minimum 15-minute mile in order to enter, which kept me on the sidelines. BUT...Misty May-Treanor was on hand as another celebrity cheerleader and did the race, and since she was rehabbing a torn Achilles she finished the race in about an hour. So then I was wishing that Will and I had done the race--I think I could have waddled in at around an hour and gotten a chance to "run" with Misty May, cool or what?!

I also had a baby shower last weekend given by two friends that are also "radiology wives"--not sure how I scored a shower with a second baby, but it was a lot of fun. We received so many cute girly baby clothes, which should save Anna from wearing Will's hand-me-downs.

Some cute gifts:

Even Will got a few gifts:

(These blocks are for Anna, not for him, but I had a tough time convincing him of that!)

And check out the beautiful cake:

I had a wonderful time, and was happy Cindy could come to town to go with me. It also gave me a chance to eat at Frappe's, which was yummy, so John and I will have to go back for dinner some time soon.
