A week or so before Christmas, we went to Orlando for what I think might become a tradition (if I get my way) of going to see the Disney Christmas decorations. We went to Magic Kingdom and Epcot (caught the Candlelight program at Epcot), and then visited the resorts to see all the creative gingerbread decorations. Will paid a visit to Santa Clause in downtown Celebration. We also went to Gaylord Palms to see the Ice! extravaganza, which was a first for us and lots of fun.

Christmas Day was low key and spent here in OB, since I was on call--no hospital rounds (yay!) but lots of patient phone calls. Will was excited about his Santa gifts, especially his new train table.

He also opened his big gift from Nana and Papa (since it was too big to transport to and from B-town)--a new tricycle. He's still learning how to pedal it, and mainly uses his feet to push along on the ground.

Will and I traveled to B-town on the day after Christmas, and made a stop in Tallahassee to see Grandmama and Granddaddy. Granddaddy was recovering from an unexpected surgery, and we were really happy to see him doing so well (definitely a Christmas blessing!). Will talked about getting a tractor ride the entire way to B-town, I think he was more excited about that than about presents. We enjoyed visiting with Nana, Papa, Missy, and Laurie for a few days (especially playing with Laurie's present--a Wii--I think we definitely need one of those, although I left with a sore hip that convinced me pregnant people should NOT try "Dance, Dance Revolution").
Finally, we spent New Year's Eve and Day back home. I of course fell asleep long before the ball dropped (I don't think I've seen the ball drop since Will was born, to be honest). Don, Yomary, Don-Don, and Alexiya came over on New Year's Day for some dinner and bowl games. I did manage to get some Hoppin' John and cornbread into John and Will, although I decided not to cook any greens since I'm the only one who ever eats them! Maybe I can convince Will to like them as he gets older. :-)
Happy New Year!
