The Oak Ridge Boys and cleaning house

Missy reminded me that I forgot to post about one of the most important events of the past few weeks. The Oak Ridge Boys made Daytona Beach one of the stops on their Christmas concert tour, and Laurie, Will, and I got to go to the show. It was fantastic--although I think we were some of the youngest fans there by 10-20 years (or 40, in Will's case). Will loved it, especially when they threw in a few non-Christmas songs at the beginning. Country music was one of the few things that soothed him back in his colicky days, and apparently it still works--he was dancing right along with "American Made." We had a great time, and I highly recommend you go if they visit your neck of the woods (click on the picture for the website--which is where I borrowed the picture from, so I hope that's not illegal).

I spent some of the following week weeding through Will's old clothes to decide what we could keep for the new baby, and what we need to give away. I'm so attached to some of the outfits that I couldn't let go...I kept asking John things like, "A baby girl can wear monster truck PJ's, right?" Or, "Do you think this cowboy sleeper is unisex?"

I found the hospital-issue newborn hat that Will wore at delivery...and guess what? It still fits! (sort of)
Do you think he looks a little gangsta? After that, I tried to persuade him to let me wrap him up in his Miracle Blanket for old time's sake, but he refused and ran away. So maybe he does have some traumatic memories of that straitjacket. Oh, well...at least he eventually learned to raise his arms above his head. :-)

I'm laughing out loud at the Hanukkah song (and Will in the hat!)
